The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 116-108 to clinch the first seed in the Western Conference for the playoffs. Anthony Davis recovered from a low scoring game against the Toronto Raptors when he had just 14 points. The 27-year-old superstar forward had 42 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists against Utah.

After the game, Davis talked about what the win and clinching the number one spot in the West means for him and the team. “It’s been a long time coming for Laker Nation,” Davis said referring to the fact that the Lakers made the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

Davis also said he needed to be more aggressive than he was against Toronto, who double-teamed him the whole game.
