The Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart was unhappy with the referees after his team went down against the Milwaukee Bucks, 119-112. The reason behind Smart’s disappointment was an episode which occurred late in the fourth quarter.

With 1:30 left to play the game was tied at 107. Smart tried to get a charge while Giannis Antetokounmpo was driving to the basket. The Greek Freak ran into the Celtics guard and was called for an offensive foul, which was his sixth. However, the referees reviewed the incident and changed the call to a defensive foul on Smart.

As it can be seen in the video above, it was indeed Smart’s foul as he was clearly standing outside the protected area. However, that wasn’t what he thought after the game. “I think we all know what that was about… Giannis has 6 fouls. They don’t want to get him out,” Smart said.

The win puts Milwaukee closer to clinching the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, while Boston’s situation is more uncertain as they are just two wins ahead of Miami and three behind Toronto.
