Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has credited general manager Andy Elisburg for his work during the offseason, particularly in helping the franchise acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Spoelstra acknowledged team president Pat Riley’s vision but emphasized Elisburg’s role in carrying out Miami’s plans.

He also admitted that seeing Antetokounmpo wearing a Heat uniform still feels unusual, even after the Greek superstar joined the organization.

“Pat had his vision, but Andy Elisburg went to work this summer. That was him being in his bag. I still think about it. Giannis chose us.

“It’s surreal seeing Antetokounmpo in a Miami Heat Jersey but I’m sure it’s surreal for him also. He really wanted to trust a place that would be dead ass serious about trying to win just like he is.”
