NBA champion-turned analyst Kendrick Perkins assessed the performance of Anthony Davis in the Lakers win over the Clippers. According to him, the 27-year-old forward clearly was the best player on the floor. Perkins also thinks that the only player that AD can be compared to is Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett.

“[Anthony Davis] was the best player on the floor last night and it’s not even a debate,” Perkins said on ESPN’s Get Up. “The way that he closed out the third quarter. The Lakers closed out the third quarter on a 12-6 run. Anthony Davis had 10 of those points. After that I think the Clippers was dead bird in tall grass because they lost the momentum. When you look Anthony Davis, he’s one-of-one. He’s a generational talent. He cannot be guarded. The only person I’ve seen to compare to him is Kevin Garnett.”

Davis had game-high 34 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists helping the Lakers edge the Clippers 103-101 in the first seeding game.
