New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson will be a game-time decision for the team’s first “seeding game” against the Utah Jazz.

Head coach Alvin Gentry spoke about Williamson’s situation.

“He practiced some. We didn’t do a whole lot today,” Gentry said. “He participated. … It’ll be a game-time decision. … It will all depend on how he’s feeling.”

Williamson has now practiced twice since clearing his quarantine after he departed Orlando to tend to an emergency family matter.

“If you know me, I want to hoop. I want to hoop, simple as that,” Williamson said, regarding his playing status.

Gentry also said as a coach, he’d want his best players out there as much as possible when it comes to any sort of minutes restriction on Zion, according to ESPN’s Andrew Lopez.
