The Brooklyn Nets are yet to decide on who will be the team’s next head coach. Current coach Jacque Vaughn, who replaced Kenny Atkinson, is one of the candidates. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, there is growing speculation that the Nets’ superstar Kevin Durant supports Brooklyn native and former Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

“You know, (Kleiman) pretty much said he liked the idea. It is known that Mark Jackson and Kevin Durant have a good relationship. Those Tweets and the Jackson/Nets possible connection with Durant have not gone unnoticed in the NBA. There are people who are speaking about Mark Jackson as a candidate there,” Windhorst said on his podcast as transcribed by Real GM.

Jackson coached the Warriors through 2011-2014 and left the team just before Golden State became one of the most dominant teams in modern NBA.
