Brooklyn Nets decided to part ways with head coach Kenny Atkinson, as announced by the club. The Nets are currently in playoff contention – they are seventh in the East with a 28-34 record.
Atkinson made his NBA head coaching debut in 2016 and has coached Brooklyn since. He will be replaced by the assistant coach Jacque Vaughn, who stays in charge for the rest of the season, per Marc Stein.
