Markieff Morris didn’t join the Los Angeles Lakers, as it has been reported earlier. According to Los Angeles Times’ Tania Ganguli, the Lakers’ forward will join his teammates soon.

Morris’ absence was excused according to “a person familiar with the situation,” per the LA Times. Morris signed with the Lakers on Feb.23 and played 8 games, before the season “pause”.

The Lakers arrived in the Orlando “bubble” without Avery Bradley, who decided to opt-out, and Rajon Rondo, who will be unavailable for the regular-season games due to a thumb injury.
