The debate around the ‘fit’ of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid intensified every time the Sixers were experiencing a bad moment during a season, which has had plenty of ups and downs.

Jay Williams talked on the duo during his appearance on ESPN’s First Take. Williams admitted that he would rather build a team around Ben Simmons instead of Joel Embiid considering the way the game is played in the last few years and the injury proneness of the All-Star center of the 76ers.

Both Philadelphia superstars have raised a lot of questions on their ability to lead their team to the title, despite being relatively young unlike other contenders like the Lakers, the Clippers, or the Bucks.

The Sixers entered the Orlando “bubble” with the sixth-best record (39-26) in the East and they are moving towards the NBA restart with the hope of becoming the Orlando camp’s “dark horse” in their conference.
