The Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard spoke about the NBA’s idea of putting custom messages on the back of players’ jerseys when the season resumes in Orlando.

According to the two-time NBA champion, the most important thing is not having a statement on the back of the jersey, but rather about working on the issues of racial injustice.

“It doesn’t matter if we have a statement on the back of our jersey, it’s about doing the work,” Leonard said, per Andrew Greif of Los Angeles Times.

The Klaw and the Clippers will continue their NBA campaign with a game against the city rivals Lakers on July 30 in Orlando.
