The Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee says that his goal the entire season was to win an NBA championship. Despite having asthma, the 32-year-old is determined complete the season in Orlando.
“I feel like I’m so focused and I’ve been so focused all year on one goal and that’s winning an NBA championship. So if I go through how I’ve been going through life my whole life. I had asthma I could have quit then. I feel like I just gotta keep going,” the two-time NBA champion said.
“That’s the best thing for me just to keep focusing on what I can control right now. The NBA is taking a lot of precautions when it comes to COVID. Everything that they’re doing, everything is top notch here so I feel pretty safe.”
McGee is averaging 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game for Los Angeles this season.
