Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a mission to win an NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks this season, being in the MVP conversation for second year in the row.

Despite expressing his goal of win with Milwaukee, if the franchise has the same goal, many NBA analysts believe the Bucks will have to win now to retain Giannis in their roster.

ESPN’s analyst Zach Lowe believes the Bucks have to win now, as they are not an “up and coming” team. Lowe said Milwaukee’s young prospects are not star material with the “future being now” for the Winscosin franchise.

Here is what Lowe said on “So, Where The Hell Were We?” podcast with Kevin Pelton, via fadeawayworld.net:

“The Bucks feel new but they actually lean old. If I’m Giannis, I’m looking around [at the ages on the team] and this team has got to win now. It’s not a team that has an enormous amount of time left in their prime. It sneaks up on you how not young they are,” Lowe noted.
