Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James says he will wear his name “James” on the back of his jersey in the NBA restart.

James also said he “would have loved to have a say-so on what the options were” and he’s “fine that it didn’t happen that way, as people know his mission,” according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

“I commend anyone that decides to put something on the back of their jersey,” James said via Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “It’s just something that didn’t seriously resonate with my mission, with my goal. I would have loved to have a say so on what would have went on the back of my jersey.”

The Lakers play three scrimmages before the eight “seeding games”.

Their opponents are the Dallas Mavericks (July 23), Orlando Magic (July 25) and Washington Wizards (July 27).
