Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul reinforced its backcourt by signing one of the most prolific young scorers in the game, 2014 Euroleague Rising Star trophy winner Bogdan Bogdanovic to a multi-year contract. The combo-guard arrives from perennial Serbian champion Partizan NIS Belgrade, where he used his first Euroleague season as a starter to turn himself into a lethal scorer with unlimited range. Despite being forced to move from shooting guard to point guard to help his injury-plagued team, Bogdanovic (1.97 meters, 21 years old) finished last season as the fifth-best scorer in the Euroleague, netting 14.8 points per game; he was fourth with 1.6 steals per game, and also posted an average of 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He also ranked third in Euroleague with an average of 2.17 three-point shots made, fifth in minutes played (31:26), and eighth in fouls drawn (4 per game). After Partizan’s season ended in the Top 16, Bogdanovic continued playing at the high level in the Serbian League, leading his team to its 13th consecutive title by averaging an astonishing 30.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
