The New Orleans Pelicans did their best to convince the NBA to host the restart of the season, per Christopher Dodson of Forbes.

The team created this plan in an effort to save the city’s economy and tourism.

“According to a source with the team not allowed to discuss the failed bid, it was a ‘bid to help save our tourism and promote that New Orleans was back and ready for business,'” Dodson reports.

The NBA decided that Disney World in Florida will host the resumption of the season on July 30.
