Miami Heat two-way player Gabe Vincent has been named the 2019-2020 NBA G League Most Improved Player.

In 31 games, the undrafted second-year player out of UC Santa Barbara averaged 20.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 40.3 percent from three-point.

Vincent played his first 20 games this season with the Stockton Kings and his last 11 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s G League affiliate, after he signed his two-way deal with the Heat in January.

He appeared in six games for the Heat.

Vincent scored at least 30 points six times this season, including a career-high 35 points against the South Bay Lakers on Dec. 17 and Canton Charge on Dec. 21.

He also played for Nigeria in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, where he was the team’s second leading scorer (11.4 points per game).
