Veteran center Joakim Noah is set to sign a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers that will see him spend the rest of the 2019/20 season with the aspiring champions.

Noah signed a 10-day contract with the team on March 9 but was unable to make his debut due to the NBA suspending play two days later. It appears he’s shown enough to secure a spot on the roster with the league set to resume next month and, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, will put pen to paper on a new deal next week.

“Joakim Noah and the Clippers plan for him to sign a rest of season deal next week,” Charania tweeted on Saturday.

Noah averaged a respectable 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, having played just 16.5 minutes per contest. He will be expected to operate in a similar role for the Clippers.
