Christ Koumadje of the Delaware Blue Coats has been named the 2019-2020 NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year.

With the G League season canceled, the league has moved forward in announcing the end-of-season awards.

The 7-foot-4 rookie from Florida State averaged 11.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and a G League-leading 4.0 blocks per game in 33 games this season.

Koumadje recorded an impressive triple-double in a win against the Erie BayHawks, putting up 18 points, 20 rebounds and a G League season-high 12 blocks.
