Carmelo Anthony used Instagram to express his frustration with the way President Trump handled the protests that increased in intensity across the country after the killing of George Floyd, a black man unarmed at the hands of police officers.
Former New York Knicks star disclosed his feelings Tuesday evening as protests continued for the eighth day and night.
“So Trump has declared war on the American people who are protesting against the killing of a black man,” said Anthony. “Still, they didn’t arrest the men who killed George Floyd.”
The Trump administration has threatened to use military force to crack down on the violence that has resulted in mostly peaceful protests that have gathered in support of social justice against racism and police brutality.
