BARCELONA ANNOUNCE DOELLMAN (HOW LONG???)

The Liga Endesa MVP, Justin Doellman has been introduced as Barcelona’s latest signing as the multi-talented American arrives from Valencia.

Doellman led Valencia to a second placed finish in the regular season before being knocked out in the semi-finals to Barcelona. He scooped a second MVP award by helping Valencia win the Eurocup as well.

MACIULIS CLOSER TO SIGNING FOR UNICS?

Panathinaikos’ Jonas Maciulis is reportedly a step closer to signing a two-year, €1.5M contract with Unics Kazan.

The information, first reported by Coppa.gr was mere whisper before but it looks likely that the Lithuanian international will join up with Keith Langford and Curtis Jerrells at the Russian club.

CHALMERS TO LEAVE MIAMI?

NBA writer Alex Kennedy has recently tweeted that Miami Heat president Pat Riley is exploring the options of adding new talent and it might include a sign-and-trade involving point guard Mario Chalmers.

The veteran guard was criticised for having a woeful NBA Finals last season, where the Heat lost to San Antonio in five games.

POPOVICH STAYS ON IN SAN ANTONIO

Gregg Popovich isn’t retiring just yet, despite rumours from numerous NBA writers that he might.

The NBA title-winning coach has signed a new multi-year deal with the Spurs but due to club policy, the remaining details were not mentioned.

FERNANDEZ TO SIGN EXTENSION WITH REAL MADRID?

This was expected, but with Rudy Fernandez’s contract due to expire in 2015, the two parties have already begun talks to extend it longer.

Though not confirmed just yet, it was likely that Fernandez will sign a contract extension that is most likely to be announced as a three-year deal.
