Harrison Barnes expressed his support to the comments of Damian Lillard regarding the resumption of the season in the NBA.

Lillard said the players should compete for something meaningful (like advancing to the playoffs), otherwise there is no point in travelling to Orlando to resume the season.

For his part, Barnes was in favor of Lillard’s remarks.

“I think Dame is right. If you come back and play, you want to be playing for something. There’s no other simulation that we can get for games. This group, where we’re at, we need to play, we need to play together, and playing for something is important,” Barnes said during his appearance on Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck’s podcast “Full 48“, via SB Nation’s Sactown Royalty.

The Sacramento Kings and the Portland Trail Blazers were two of the teams that were fighting for the eighth place in the Western Conference prior to the NBA suspension.
