Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter Danny Green compared LeBron James to what he was like as a player during Green’s rookie year in Cleveland in 2009-10 to the player he is now. The 32-year-old shooting guard said James is a better pro now and has learned how to win during his time with the Heat.
“He’s a better pro. Not saying he wasn’t then, he was just very good at beating people with his athleticism. He’s still very athletic now but he knows he doesn’t have to at his point. He’s smart enough to know his angles and choose his moments of when he needs to use it,” Green said to Colin Cowherd on The Herd.
“He learned how to win when he went to Miami and won some championships, coming back back and when win another one in Cleveland which was ridiculously amazing. And now he’s bringing this organization back to the level it was when Kobe was around.”
In his 17th NBA season LeBron is still a strong MVP candidate. The King is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game for the Lakers.
This season Los Angeles is not only making a return to the playoffs for the first time since 2013 but are one of the main favorites to win a championship.
