Jayson Tatum explained how the playing style of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George helped him improve his game this season.
The forward of the Boston Celtics was having a breakout year prior to the NBA suspension, averaging 23.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.9 blocks — all career bests.
“I knew that I would have a much larger role this season, handling the ball in pick-and-roll much more often. So I watched a lot of clips of Kawhi (Leonard), Paul George in pick-and-roll situations. Just developing that patience and that takes time,” Tatum told Jared Weiss of The Athletic.
