Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, talked about the trade that brought Kristaps Porzingis to the team in 2019.
Cuban compared Porzingis’ trade to the one of James Harden, who left the Oklahoma City Thunder and joined the Houston Rockets in 2013.
“Very [shocked]. It happens in the NBA. It’s like the James Harden trade. James Harden got traded from OKC to the Rockets and I’m like, ‘Damn, why didn’t we get that offered to us? Just one phone call and the Rockets said, ‘Yes.’ And this was our phone call,” Cuban told WFAN, via the New York Daily News.
Porzingis was averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists prior to the NBA suspension.
