Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv are facing a tough task of securing the services of Jeremy Pargo for another season. American guard is reportedly asking for a deal which is more than Maccabi is willing to offer for the player, according to Walla.co.il.

Pargo, who turned 25 in March, is making a successful Euroleague debut this season. He helped Maccabi return to Final Four for the first time since 2008.

During 20 Euroleague appearances Pargo is averaged 13 points, 3.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds. His price has significantly increased. Reportedly Pargo would like to sing a contract worth $1.2M per season. His current deal is thought to be around $250k for the 2010/11 season.

Meanwhile Maccabi have set the limit of $750k and aren’t going to offer more than that. The gap between the demands of Pargo and what Maccabi is prepared to offer to him is large and it could only get bigger if Pargo takes the club to Euroleageu title in May.

Several elite clubs from around the Europe, notably Spain, Greece and Russia would like to add Pargo to their rosters for the next season. Competing offers from other teams could only make Maccabi’s position even more difficult.
