Los Angeles Lakers teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis reportedly joined Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant and a number of other NBA superstars in a private conference call on Monday and formed a “united front” to resume the 2019/20, per Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.

Haynes, who quotes sources, says the call was arranged by NBPA president Chris Paul. All of the players involved are understood to have agreed that the league should resume operations once there are proper safety measures in place.

“Chris Paul, the president of the players association, arranged the call that included LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook, sources said,” Haynes wrote.

It is expected that the group’s decision will wield considerable influence over the decision-making process when players are called upon to discuss whether or not the season should be resurrected.
