Back in 2016, JR Smith went to greet Jason Terry on the Milwaukee Bucks bench in the middle of a game, giving up a easy basket in the process.

Tony Snell, the player Smith was supposed to be guarding, ran to the basket and scored the easiest two points of his career.

Here was the moment:

“I wasn’t even paying attention,” Smith said. “I don’t even remember that.”

Then, Smith gave a strange response when a reporter pointed out the specific play.

“I didn’t even know I was in the game,” Smith said. “My bad.”
