Greek star Giannis Athinaiou’s manager confirmed today that his client will be a EA7 Milano player for the rest of the season.

Milano, who are within touching distance of a spot in the Euroleague quarter-finals completed today the acquisition of Giannis Athinaiou until the end of the season. The Greek guard was part of Aris roster since this summer when he departed from Panionios.

Athinaiou played 22 times with Aris this season, having an average of 13,4 points, 33,9% in 3-pointers, 2,4 rebounds and 3,3 assists.

The 25-year-old guard has also been part of the under-21 Greek team back in 2008. He  will only be used for the Italian League since he has no right to play in Euroleague.

It is worth to mention that Aris has released the player and will not receive any payment from the Italian club, and their only benefit is that they will be free from his expensive contract.
