Kolossos Rhodes announced today that coach Vassilis Fragias will no longer be on the team’s bench, Stergios Koufos seems to be the man replacing him.

Kolossos Rhodes’ bad start during the first 6 games, left no choice to the Board of the team, but to fire the experienced coach for second time since 2002, when he first joined the Rhodians. Vassilis Fragias coached the team for first time 11 years ago, brought them to Basket league, and during the season 2012-13, the team finished 4th at the playoffs, the best position the team has ever managed to conquer.

However this season, financial problems prevented the team from being a threat for most opponents, since Kolossos got their first win only this Saturday after beating Trikala for the 6th week of the Basket League.Despite the rhodian community’s respet to coach Fragias, this co-operation could not continue for the best of both sides.

Kolossos, according to the local media, will hire the ex-Rethymno coach Stergios Koufos, one of the most experienced Greek coaches right now. More information to be announced within this week.
