Coach Vassilis Fragias agreed terms with Kolossos Rhodes and he will continue to coach the team for one more year!
Today morning Kolossos Rhodes inked the 52 years old coach Vassilis Fragias, who was the team’s coach during the last half of the past season.
Last year, Fragias started the season as Head coach of the Ukrainian team Dnipro Azot, but later on he replaced Minas Gkekos as a head coach of Kolossos.
It is worth to mention that Fragias is a very well known person in the basketball community of Rhodes.Back in 2002 he coached the team for first time, which was playing for the 3rd professional league.The season 2004-2005 was one of the most historic ones for Kolossos, when coached by Fragias, they climbed to A1, the premier league of the country!However, next year he was fired after the third game of the season!
Kolossos was a mediocre team of the league until 2011-12 when Vassilis Fragias returned and managed to bring the team at the 4th place, the best place the team has ever finished.
As a conclusion, and after a not so good last season for the team,coach Fragias seems to be the best man for the position,and as history has proved,with hard work and good transfers, Kolossos Rhodes can become one of the top teams in the league!
