Chicago Bulls hire Nuggets GM Arturas Karnisovas to lead basketball operations

Lithuanian Arturas Karnisovas to becomethe new executive vice president of basketball operations for the Bulls.

Karnisovas, will take the place of John Paxson, who has been running the Bulls’ basketball operations since 2003 per ESPN.

Both sides agreed on a multi-year deal on Wednesday night and Karnisovas will be in charge of all basketball operations for the Chicago Bulls. The team’s inability to reach the postseason for the last 2 years gives Karnisovas the task to reshape the organisation as a total and lead them back to success.

The team will also hire a new General Manager, scouters and additional basketball operations.

According to ESPN, Karnisovas had an a lengthy virtual interview with Bulls chief operating officer, Michael Reinsdorf, on Tuesday.
