The first round of qualification games got under way for Eurobasket 2015, set to be staged in the Ukraine as 13 teams fight for one spot: a direct route to Eurobasket 2015.

Group A

Romania 68-84 Bulgaria

Bulgaria comfortably defeated Romania in Constanta and beginning their qualification hopes in the best possible way.

Deyan Ivanov had impressive stats of 27 points and 8 rebounds as the Bulgarians recovered from a 21-20 first quarter deficit and eased to victory.

Rares Mandache had 18 for Romania.

Group B

Netherlands 74-71 Estonia

Netherlands nearly squandered an 18-point lead but in the end beat Estonia 74-71 in s’Hertogenbosch.

Kees Akerboom and Joshua Duinker each had 13 points to steer the Dutch to victory.

Reinar Hallik led all scorers in vain for Estonia with 20 points.

Group C

Switzerland 78-37 Denmark

Switzerland held Denmark to just eight points in the first and then four points in the fourth as they won 78-37 in Fribourg.

Dusan and Marko Mladjan both had 13 points to lead the Swiss to victory. Nicolai Iversen had 13 points and 5 rebounds for the Danes.

Austria 111-77 Luxembourg

Austria won the three-point shootout as they thrashed Luxembourg 111-77 in a game where 55 shots were attempted from beyond the arc.

Rasid Mahalbasic recorded a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds as he led six Austrians in double figures.

Christopher Jones had 22 for Luxembourg.

Group D

Belarus 79-75 Hungary

Belarus beat Hungary 79-75 in Minsk as they came back from a 14-point deficit to grab the win.

Vitali Liutych led the Belarussians with 17 points. David Vojvoda led the Hungarians, also with 17.
