After spending three season with Khimki, Zoran Planinic will be looking for a new club. The 30-year-old Croatian guard became one of the key elements of Khimki after joining the club from CSKA Moscow in 2010.

Planinic averaged 12.4 points and 6.3 assists per game for Khimki this season in Euroleague.

Khimki failed to earn a direct spot to the next year’s Euroleague via domestic league and will most likely have to play in the qualifying tournament. In addition, the club is set to reduce its budget which will result in key players’ departure.

Vitaly Fridzon has reportedly announced his intention to leave Khimki. The club has also announced the departure of the Australian big man Matt Nielsen a few days ago.
