Lithuania head coach Jonas Kazlauskas today confirmed that Linas Kleiza, Martynas Pocius and Paulius Jankunas have been named in his 15-man preliminary squad for Eurobasket this September.

The trio were doubtful due to injury concerns – Kazlauskas did hint earlier in the month though that the three would recover in time before training camp on July 15. Toronto Raptor Kleiza has not played a competitive game since December 28 and both Jankunas and Pocius have both had operations in February and March, respectively.

However, 31-year-old Simas Jasaitis, who appeared at the 2011 Eurobasket was not included in the 15-strong side.

“He wants to rest and as a coach I understand,” said Kazlauskas on Tuesday.

“Simas has played quite a few years and has had serious injuries, he now just wants everything to heal.”
