Damian Lillard revealed his initial reaction to playing without fans and the NBA suspension, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Lillard joined Chiney Ogwumike on Instagram Live on Saturday and referred to how he is keeping busy during the NBA suspension and his initial reaction to the prospect of playing games behind closed doors.
“I was like ‘Damn. No fans, That’s gonna be weird.’ How are we gonna have energy and be excited about it?
A couple hours later, they were like, ‘Shootaround canceled, no game tomorrow…the rest of the week is suspended’…But even in my mind after that we gonna end up making for this games up maybe next week or something,” the 29-year-old guard told Ogwumike.
The NBA decided to suspend the season for at least 30 days due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
