With estimations of how fast the coronavirus will spread, the suspended NBA season might not be continued. One NBA executive described the chances of season continuation as ‘unfeasible’.

Per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post via Kenny Honaker of ClutchPoints:

“I’ve seen models that are super scary,” one executive said. “There could be 70,000 cases in one city alone within six weeks. Our decisions have to be driven by science and the numbers, and our priority has to be safety. I would love for this to slow down and we can play a truncated regular season and playoffs, but it just seems unfeasible”

As of now, the suspension is for at least 30 days. Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are the only players who have tested positive for COVID-19 virus. But the expectation is that there are more players who have contracted it.
