BC Triumph Lyubertsy scored a crucial 76-66 win at home to KK Buducnost as the Russians rejoined the race to advance to the last eight via Group I.

This result puts both sides on 2-3 records as the Russian side pulled away in the fourth period to seal the victory.

Sergey Karasev led Triumph with 24 points, including five three-pointers. Marko Popovic led the Buducnost charge with 18.

BK Banvit have put themselves in a position to finish top of Group I after they defeated Budivielnik Kiev 94-85 in Turkey.

If Banvit can beat Buducnost on the road next week, they will clinch top spot after they claimed the head-to-head over the Ukrainian side. Kiev will have to win its last game against Triumph next week and hope that the Turks slip up.

Chuck Davis had 24 points for the winners.

Lokomotiv Kuban won Group K after they edged Spartak St. Petersburg 77-72 in an all-Russian clash.

This win improves Lokomotiv Kuban’s record to 5-0 while Spartak, who are already through are at 3-2.

Derrick Brown led Kuban with 18 points in a balanced scoring attack that saw Aleks Maric bag 16 and the Lithuanian duo of Simas Jasaitis and Mantas Kalnietis contribute 15 and 11 points respectively.

Finally in Group L, Unics Kazan and ratopharm Ulm both sealed quarter-final births with respective wins.

The Russians saw-off Galatasaray at the Basketball Hall in Kazan 64-57 while the German side beat Crvena Zvezda 92-78 in Belgrade.
