The chairman of the Israeli League Shmuel Frenkel met NBA Commissioner David Stern, who recently announced the end of his term in February 2014 after 30 years since he took office.

The meeting was also attendance by NBA Vice President for International Markets Kim Bohuny. It was agreed on future cooperation between the two Leagues, which will exchange ideas and work plans for this cooperation in the weeks ahead.

Shmuel Frankel said, after the meeting, that “I had the honor and pleasure of meeting a great personality that made the NBA what it is today. I heard tips and ideas from Mr. Stern to manage the League and we agreed on a cooperation that is taking shape. I see the NBA as a role model and hope in the near future our League will make a number of steps forward in terms of marketing and game experience.”
