Olympiacos’ injury woes keep on piling up as they have learned that Evengelos Mantzaris is out for the season with an ACL tear.

The 22-year-old sustained the injury to his right knee during yesterday’s 76-71 loss to PAOK, the Reds first domestic defeat of the season. He is expected to miss a minimum of six months and possibly more depending on the rehabilitation process.

Mantzaris had averaged 3.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the Euroleague for the reigning champions. He also notched 4.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game in A1 League.

Olympiacos are already missing Acie Law and Dimitrios Mavroeidis to injury as well so this news will force the Piraeus side to make some team changes, most notably at the guard spot.

Edit: Sources say that Acie Law did resume training with Olympiacos today but is 50/50 whether he will play on Friday against Fenerbahce
