Following the departure of Predrag Samardziski, who joined Red Star Belgrade, Lietuvos Rytas added center Patrick O’Bryant to its frontcourt.

After playing in China and Greece, O’Bryant spent last season in Puerto Rico helping his side win national championship.

The 26-year-started this season in NBDL with Reno Bighorns. He averaged 10.3 points and 6 rebounds per game before joining Rytas.

O’Bryant was 9th pick in 2006 NBA Draft by Golden State Warriors. He broke his leg before his NBA debut season and was unable to establish himself in the NBA since.

Lithuanian club continues making roster changes ahead of the domestic leagues playoffs. Rytas has already parted ways with Leon Radosevic who was replaced with Tomislav Zubcic and also added Milt Palacio.

Rytas faces a potential risk of finishing lower than 2nd in LKL regular season, a result that could make them face Zalgiris in the playoffs before LKL finals. Though the chances for such scenario to come true are very small.
