Montepaschi Siena’s Bobby Brown has scooped the Euroleague Player of the Month award for January.
Brown has led the Italian side to a 4-0 record in that month which included a season-high 41 points against Fenerbahce and a clutch performance against Olympiacos, where he scored Siena’s final five points in less than a minute, including a game-winning lay-up.
Siena, led by Brown inflicted a first Top 16 defeat for BC Khimki also where the American led the scoring with 20 points and he hit seven of his 13 points in the fourth quarter against Besiktas last week.
Brown finished January having averaged 24 points per game while shooting 51.5% on two-pointers (17 for 33), 44% on three-pointers (12 for 27) and 96.3% on free throws (26 of 27). He also had 4.75 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal per game for a performance index rating average of 25.5.
