It took just two official games in the NBDL for Donatas Motiejunas to convince the Houston Rockets that he deserves a chance play in the NBA.

The 20th draft pick in 2011 was sent to NBDL side Rio Grande Valley Vipers a couple of weeks ago. Motiejunas appeared just in one game for the Rockets this season and spent 5 minutes on the court.

Motiejunas averaged 24 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3 assists in two games for the Vipers in NBDL. It was enough to make the Rockets management to call him back.

The 22-year-old Lithuanian forward could play his second NBA game on Tuesday as the Rockets face Toronto Rapors who have two of his countrymen on the roster – Linas Kleiza and Jonas Valanciunas.
