Joey Dorsey agrees to terms with the Turkish side Gaziantep BSB.
If you were expecting Dorsey to leave Olympiacos for a bigger club like every basketball fan in Europe, then you were clearly wrong. The 28-year old will be playing for “Royal Hali Gaziantep BSB” for the rest of the season. The team is currently playing in the top division of the Turkish league for the first time in its history.
It was no secret that Dorsey had some problems with the way Georgios Bartzokas was coaching the team, but he was expected to leave for an NBA team or another giant in European basketball. Dorsey had expressed his desire to leave, claiming that he had some offers from NBA. His new team will offer him a very different experience than what he is used to.
Royal Hali Gaziantep BSB is currently 14th in TBL.
