Miloš Teodosić exploded in Štark Arena against Darussafaka and with Virtus Bologna became the last Quarterfinalist of the EuroCup.

Due to a decision by the Turkish authorities to forbid entry of citizens from areas affected with coronavirus (COVID-19), Darussafaka was obligated to host Virtus Bologna in Štark Arena.

Serbia agreed to be the host of the last and decisive match in Group E between the Turkish club and the Italian team. Both teams had the chance to be with 8 best teams in the EuroCup, but Miloš Teodosić and Virtus Bologna won 106:96 against Darussafaka behind closed doors.

The Serbian guard was the best with 21 points and was the best scorer in the team. Miloš Teodosić was 100% successful from behind the three-point line (4/4 for three). An interesting fact was that Miloš Teodosić and the company were 60% successful behind 6.75. On the other side, Darussafaka team was shooting with 48% for three. That was one of the reasons Virtus won in this “to be, or not to be” match.

Besides Miloš Teodosić, four more players scored 10 or more points for Aleksandar Đorđević’s squad. Giampaolo Ricci scored 17, Kyle Weems 15, and both Alessandro Pajola and Julian Gamble finished the match with 10 points.

For Darussafaka, three players scored 14 points each – Doron Lamb, Bonzie Colson, and Gary Browne. Johnathan Hamilton added 11 points and both Sinan Guler and Dogus Ozdemiroglu ended the game with 10.

While Darussafaka finished their European basketball tour, Miloš Teodosić and Virtus Bologna will face Monaco in the next round.

Besides Virtsu Bologna against Monaco, the other Quarterfinalists are Partizan and Unics, Unicaja and Venezia, Promiteas and Tofas. The games in Quarterfinals will be played on 17th, 20th and maybe 25th of March if necessary.
