Alba Berlin have lost forward Nathan Peavy indefinitely due to a knee injury sustained during a pre-season game over the weekend.

Peavy, who recently signed over the summer from rivals Artland Dragons where he averaged 13.8 points in 40 games played last season. He was due to make his Euroleague debut on October 12.

During Sunday’s warm-up game, Peavy fell awkwardly on his knee. Upon the team’s return to Berlin, Alba doctors confirmed that Peavy has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and suffered a broken femur.

It is estimated that Peavy will be out for the season as the team looks for a replacement.
