With LeBron James being out due to a sore groin, Kyle Kuzma enjoyed more playing time and bigger role against the Warriors. He played 29 minutes in which he scored 18 points.

The Lakers had an easy win, 116-86, but it wasn’t smooth sailing the whole time. At halftime, the Dubs were down just by two points. Then Los Angeles turned an upper gear winning the third quarter 40-17 and the fourth 22-17 to seal the deal.

After the game, he talked to Mike Trudell about the game and his role. “We just locked in,” the 24-year-old explained why the Lakers had an explosive second half.

Kuzma also said this season is all about sacrifice in order to win and he is just trying to fill the role he is asked to. When LeBron is out, he is trying to step up.

Game recap:

This season Kuzma is averaging 12.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Lakers.
