France were always comfortable against an undersized Mali outfit, winning 87-33 to book their quarter-final place in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Ankara.

Endene Miyem led all scorers for France with 17 points, shooting 60% from the field as all but one French player scored. Miyem was helped by 12 points from Isabelle Yacoubou.

Mail were carried by Nassira Traore who hit 14 points.

Despite the blowout, Mali started in a positive manner, taking the game to their bigger opponents. France kept their wits about them and led 18-10 after one.

From there, the French stepped up a gear and powered away from the African nation. Winning the second quarter 25-7 to lead 43-17 at the half.

Mali were then held to just five points in the third before they put up more of a fight in the fourth. By then though, France were always in pole position.
