Pau Gasol told NBA on ESPN Radio that he’s hoping to play for Spain in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics if he can rehab his injured foot in time.
Gasol also mentioned that playing in the NBA next season is a possibility too.
President of the Spanish Basketball Federation Jorge Garbajosa previously said, “He will do everything possible and part of the impossible to be there [the Olympic Games]. If Pau wants and can, he will be … We will always wait for him.”
He only played 30 games in the NBA last season; 27 with the San Antonio Spurs and three with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Gasol last played for Spain in the 2017 EuroBasket.
