Serbia are joined at this year’s Olympics by the USA, who had qualified regardless as FIBA World Cup winners and Nigeria, who competed in the final game with USA winning 76-71. Mozambique miss out.
In Group B, China finished a perfect 3-0 following a 100-60 demolition of Korea to advance to Tokyo.
Despite the loss, the Koreans progressed as well at the expense of Great Britain, who lost to Spain 79-69 and miss out on a second Olympic appearance.

In Ostend, hosts Belgium clinched a historic first ever Olympic Games following a 61-53 win over Sweden to finish with a 2-1 record.
The Belgian Cats are joined by Canada who beat Japan 70-68 to finish 3-0. Japan (1-2) have also advanced as Olympic hosts.
Sweden (0-3) are eliminated from Olympic contention.
France completed the hat-trick of qualifying hosts as they comfortably saw-off 2016 Olympic hosts Brazil 89-72 to finish their campaign unbeaten.
The French are joined by Australia and Puerto Rico at this summer’s women’s basketball tournament with Brazil missing out.
