Damian Lillard is an Olympic gold medalist after Team USA’s win over France in the Final of the Olympic Tournament in Tokyo.
According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, the Blazers’ superstar played through an abdomen injury in Tokyo, and that’s the reason he did not look himself during his time with the USA.
He shot 35 percent from three and just 38 percent overall, plus he was not aggressive, passing chances to drive and attack the rim at times.
Now, Lillard has almost two months to recover and prepare for the next season, with training camps opening at September 28.
